Yesterday I felt it was time to shed some holiday weight. But, when the ground is covered in snow and it’s -10 degrees outside, you don’t exactly go for a jog. Luckily, J had some spare skis and we headed out for a cross country ski tour. I’m a terrible ice skater, but I have no problems skiing on ice, so off we went for a lap around the lake. After the warm-up I already felt my muscles getting sore, but like the brave (or foolish…) athlete (ha!) I am, I continued full on in the forest too. Need I say I’ve hardly been able to walk today?
After the nice ski tour we rewarded ourselves with mulled wine and homemade gingerbread. We also caught Mrs. Doubtfire, which I hadn’t seen since I was 12. Good times.
